Java Architect – Austin, TX

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Java Architect to join its Engineering unit in Austin, Texas. You will work on product‑centric value delivery, leveraging data‑first approaches and advanced technologies to drive continuous improvement and accelerate time‑to‑market.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to gather and analyse system requirements for performance, security and scalability.
• Provide solution architecture recommendations, contribute to technology framework development and support enterprise architecture definition.
• Identify and evaluate market technologies and tools to propose optimal architectural solutions.
• Develop integration strategies and validate proof‑of‑concept implementations.
• Ensure knowledge transfer, quality standards, and support build and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues during build, deployment and support phases.
• Analyse system performance of implemented architectures and document potential risks.
• Create architectural artifacts and enrich the team’s knowledge repository.

Required profile

• Proven ability to analyse, design and develop scalable and secure architectures.
• Strong assessment skills for multiple technologies, tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of integration methodologies, proof‑of‑concept validation and deployment strategies.
• Excellent documentation skills for architectural frameworks and solutions.
• Effective communication with internal teams and clients.
