Janitor – Full‑Time & Part‑Time Positions

About the role

Join SSC Services for Education as a Janitor supporting Fairfield Independent School District. You will help maintain clean, safe, and distraction‑free learning environments for students, staff, and visitors on a full‑time or part‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved infection‑control procedures.
• Dust, damp‑mop, and sanitize floors and surfaces using the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Move equipment and furniture to clean all areas, then return items to their proper locations.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces.
• Strip, scrub, buff, refinish floors and shampoo carpets as needed.
• Follow all federal, state, and local guidelines for health and safety.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Previous janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and initiative to identify cleaning needs.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
