IVA Spacesuit Project Engineer – Space Systems

About the role

Join a dynamic team supporting NASA on the JETS II contract and work at the forefront of human spaceflight and deep‑space exploration. As an IVA Spacesuit Project Engineer you will coordinate the development and integration of IVA spacesuit hardware, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical execution of IVA spacesuit hardware throughout the product lifecycle, from design to operational support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including systems, mechanical, electrical, thermal, materials, manufacturing, quality, safety, human factors, logistics and test engineering.
• Develop and maintain Task Performance Sheets, work packages, engineering task plans and project documentation.
• Support procurement by creating technical specifications, evaluating suppliers and tracking long‑lead hardware.
• Lead engineering change implementation, configuration management and hardware release activities.
• Participate in qualification, acceptance, integration and environmental testing, including test planning, execution and data review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2‑5 years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments supporting hardware development and integration.
• Experience with crew survival or IVA spacesuit systems is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and ability to pass a government background investigation.
