iTeam Customer Engineer Manager

About the role

The iTeam Customer Engineer Manager leads a team of customer engineers within a designated district, building strong relationships with customers and ensuring successful installation, support, and performance of Applied Materials equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels in the district.
• Manage, coach and direct all customer engineers, including salary and career planning.
• Serve as the primary interface with Product Divisions such as tech support, training, spares, and reliability.
• Monitor and drive the CSD Award and mentor programs for engineers.
• Execute escalation procedures and oversee the RMA process.
• Partner with the District Sales Engineer for account planning and system sales support.
• Prepare financial forecasts, manage cost efficiency and track engineer hours.
• Plan and execute system installations, including pre‑facility and start‑up meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven leadership and people‑management experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and judgment within defined policies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for presenting technical information and gaining cooperation.
• Understanding of Applied Materials' global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical standards.
