IT Technician

About the role

The Institute for Family Health is seeking an IT Technician to provide both onsite and remote support for its computing environment. You will ensure hardware, software, and network components operate efficiently, helping staff across multiple locations stay productive.

Key responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade computers, printers, laptops, and related equipment.
• Provide timely assistance to business users, documenting each incident from start to resolution within service level agreements.
• Travel to various site locations to support users or coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Track and manage tickets using a Helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring clear communication and follow‑up.
• Maintain organized, secure work areas and uphold client confidentiality.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting of computer, network, and application issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Basic networking concepts and device configuration.
• Experience with diverse hardware (PCs, laptops, printers).
• Familiarity with Helpdesk ticketing systems.
• CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ certification preferred.
