IT Support Specialist

About the role

Murphy Painters, Inc. is looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team in Mississippi State. You will be the primary point of contact for all technical issues, ensuring our staff can work efficiently and securely across both office and remote environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for hardware, software, and network problems for in‑office and remote employees.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and user accounts.
• Manage user access, permissions, and security settings, especially within Microsoft Office 365.
• Assist in developing and enforcing IT policies to protect system integrity and data security.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software licences.
• Escalate complex issues to senior staff or external vendors and follow through to resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a help‑desk or IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and common hardware components.
• Experience administering Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
