IT Support Specialist I

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an IT Support Specialist I to join its technology team. Working under the guidance of senior staff, you will provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to internal and external users across the agency.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and business applications.
• Respond to technical inquiries via the enterprise help‑desk ticketing system and resolve issues on‑site.
• Perform user and account administration, including provisioning, de‑provisioning, and group assignments in Active Directory.
• Maintain asset tracking and equipment inventory records.
• Provide in‑person meeting support, setting up and tearing down audio/video equipment.
• Contribute to knowledge‑base documentation and help‑desk workflow improvements.
• Assist with various IT projects as assigned.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience supporting users and workstations in an enterprise environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent customer service skills.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent.
