IT Support Specialist – Data Power & Control

About the role

Legrand is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join its Data Power and Control team in Farmingdale, NY. The role provides both onsite and remote technical support, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software, and network systems for employees worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct technical support to end‑users onsite and remotely across global sites.
• Support manufacturing operations, including Windows computers, OT systems, and IoT devices.
• Liaise with IT functional experts to deliver timely assistance.
• Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software issues.
• Maintain and repair computers and peripheral equipment.
• Set up, deploy, and onboard new employees’ IT resources.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets.
• Install and configure software on user machines.
• Manage cybersecurity vulnerabilities and collaborate on security initiatives.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs with third‑party vendors and procure IT supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience providing IT user support.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb and sit for extended periods.
