IT Support Specialist (Contract Role)

About the role

This contract position supports Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Los Angeles studio by providing a blend of desktop support, help‑desk assistance, and limited system administration. The specialist will maintain client technology performance, build strong relationships with internal users, and ensure high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide help‑desk level coverage for internal clients, diagnosing and troubleshooting desktop, laptop, and network service issues.
• Coordinate, document, and resolve employee support requests according to established processes.
• Escalate complex problems to appropriate technical personnel when necessary.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and customer‑service guidelines for IT support.
• Perform first‑ and second‑level support for workstation and mobile systems.
• Collaborate with remote sites and maintain clear incident documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in desktop support, help‑desk environments, and basic system administration.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to build trust and set expectations.
• Ability to work under tight, shifting deadlines and manage multiple projects.
