IT Support Engineer – SaaS Application Administrator

About the role

Anthropic’s IT Operations team is looking for an IT Support Engineer who will own the SaaS Administration lane. You will ensure that internal applications run smoothly, handle license management, and support users across a growing catalog of critical tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform admin actions in SaaS apps (e.g., Gong, 1Password, MongoDB, Vanta) such as role grants, settings changes, and user troubleshooting.
• Own ticket intake and execution for the SaaS lane, documenting runbooks as you work.
• Identify repetitive tasks and build automations using scripts, app‑native workflows, or AI tools.
• Monitor application health, usage, and performance; route platform issues to IT Engineering.
• Coordinate vendor‑driven updates, track release notes, and communicate impacts to users.
• Manage license assignments, reclamations, and produce monthly seat‑utilization reports.
• Maintain the renewal calendar, prepare true‑ups, and act as the day‑to‑day contact for vendor customer‑success managers.
• Pull SOC2 evidence, support access‑review execution, and package audit responses.
• Administer Google Calendar resources and Google Groups, ensuring clean membership and access structures.
• Support Slack app installations in partnership with corporate security.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on end‑to‑end processes.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
• Proactive mindset to identify automation opportunities and improve operational efficiency.

Required skills

• Google Workspace administration (Calendar, Groups).
• Experience with SaaS application administration and license management.
• Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar).
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted tooling for workflow automation.
• Understanding of audit evidence collection (SOC2) and compliance processes.
• Slack app installation and configuration.
