IT Support Engineer I – Ops Tech Solutions

About the role

Amazon Operations Tech Solutions (OTS) is seeking a self‑motivated IT Support Engineer I to deliver high‑quality technical support across multiple sites. You will implement solutions for hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications while ensuring network and computing systems stay operational during production hours.

Key responsibilities

• Network engineering, troubleshooting, and data cabling in diverse hardware and software environments.
• Maintain availability of infrastructure networking and computing systems during production shifts.
• Provide analytical and technical assistance to management and staff for continuous IT improvement.
• Manage local technical projects and develop/maintain policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
• Handle physical tasks such as moving up to 49 lb, standing, and walking during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Support customers across multiple buildings and travel within the local or regional area as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT‑related fields is a plus.
• 2+ years of professional experience in networking, Linux administration, Microsoft administration, or Cisco network configuration.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi‑user, high‑availability environment.
• 2+ years of experience with DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
• 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
• 1+ year of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
