IT Support Engineer I – Operations Tech Solutions

About the role

Amazon Operations Tech Solutions (OTS) is seeking an IT Support Engineer I to deliver high‑quality technical support across multiple facilities. You will troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications, ensuring continuous availability of IT infrastructure for Amazon’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform network engineering, troubleshooting, and data cabling tasks in diverse software and hardware environments.
• Maintain availability of networking and computing systems during production hours.
• Provide analytical and technical assistance to management and staff for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
• Manage local technical projects and develop or update policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
• Lift up to 49 lb, stand, and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Support customers across multiple buildings and remote locations, traveling within the local or regional area as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of professional IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT‑related field.
• Experience troubleshooting in a multi‑user, high‑availability environment.
• 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
• 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience.
• 1+ year of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.

Required skills

• Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
• Linux system administration.
• Microsoft Windows administration.
• Cisco network configuration and management.
• PC hardware repair and troubleshooting.
