IT Specialist – Information Security (InfoSec)

About the role

The IT Specialist (InfoSec) will serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the Cyber Security Branch of NCTAMS PAC. This position provides regional and local information systems and cybersecurity support for the Navy’s Pacific communications network.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of the NCTAMS PAC cybersecurity program, including architecture, security requirements, policies, and practices.
• Develop, implement, interpret, accredit, and maintain detailed cybersecurity policies, plans, programs, standards, and criteria.
• Provide oversight of systems and programs of record, coordinating security measures such as analysis, testing, evaluation, verification, accreditation, and review of system modifications.
• Assist the Command Information System Security Manager with compliance assessments, vulnerability monitoring, and results review.
• Evaluate risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to determine additional safeguards needed for command, site, system, or enclave.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity audit reports, operations policy, programs, and guidelines.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen and eligible for federal employment.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to duty.
• Must pass E‑Verify employment verification check.
• Male applicants born after 12‑31‑1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Compliance with DoD regulations regarding post‑retirement civilian appointments.
