About the role

We are looking for a tech‑savvy IT Professional II to join Texas A&M University’s Technology Services supporting the College of Dentistry. The role provides advanced troubleshooting, system administration, and technical guidance in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and system issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain technology systems and equipment.
• Administer and support assigned software applications and systems.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems and implement solutions.
• Recommend hardware and software purchases, upgrades, and improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to faculty, staff, and students.
• Document issues, solutions, and procedures to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant IT experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a healthcare setting.

Required skills

• Windows operating system.
• Microsoft Office productivity suite.
• CompTIA A+ certification (preferred).
• Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (preferred).
• Familiarity with clinical practice management software (a plus).
