IT Manager – Lead Technology Operations

About the role

We are a nonprofit association of about 35 employees seeking a seasoned IT professional to own and modernize our technology environment. As the IT Manager you will drive AI‑enabled initiatives, ensure robust cybersecurity, and act as a strategic partner to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain system uptime, security, and performance across all platforms and end‑user devices.
• Lead internal helpdesk escalation and provide technical support.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, monitor threats, and manage incident response.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement AI tools that improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee website reliability, performance, and integration with CRM, AMS, LMS and other member‑facing platforms.
• Manage organizational databases, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security.
• Negotiate and supervise contracts with MSPs, vendors, and consultants.
• Develop, track, and report on the annual IT budget, presenting business cases for technology investments.
• Collaborate with all departments to align technology solutions with business needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading IT operations in a nonprofit or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and incident response.
• Demonstrated ability to drive AI and digital transformation projects.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
