IT Infrastructure Administrator

About the role

Gilder Gagnon Howe & Co., LLC is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to join its dedicated IT Systems team in Manhattan. The role will support all technology layers, from end‑user devices to cloud and network services, ensuring reliable and secure operations for the firm’s investment professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Administer and support cloud infrastructure, including compute resources, identity and access management, security monitoring, and related services.
• Design and implement automation solutions to streamline system administration, deployments, and routine tasks.
• Manage network infrastructure (including Wi‑Fi) to maintain coverage, performance, and security.
• Support server infrastructure, disaster‑recovery planning, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Maintain identity and access controls and help enforce security policies.
• Document configurations, procedures, system changes, and troubleshooting workflows.
• Coordinate with third‑party consultants and manage IT vendor relationships, including procurement and support escalations.
• Provide responsive, high‑quality technical support to all employees.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in IT support and systems administration.
• Ability to work on‑site five days a week to support users and infrastructure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical staff.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities, capable of working independently.
