IT Help Desk Technician – Level 1

About the role

Rolfson Oil, LLC is seeking a Level 1 Help Desk Technician to be the first point of contact for employees across multiple locations. You will support a modern, cloud‑first environment built on Microsoft 365, Intune, and Jira, providing both remote and onsite assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to employee technical requests via phone, email, and in‑person.
• Perform remote diagnostics and guide users through problem‑solving steps.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher‑level support.
• Record, track, and update tickets and asset information in Jira.
• Administer Microsoft 365 accounts, Exchange Online objects, and Intune‑managed devices.
• Create and manage QuickBooks user accounts and DialPad VOIP configurations.
• Prepare and inventory equipment (PCs, phones, tablets, printers) for new and existing staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and software on PC, iOS, macOS, and printers.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Travel occasionally to remote yards and facilities as needed.

Required profile

• A+ certification or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, OS, and software.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Detail‑oriented, able to multitask and prioritize.
• Customer‑oriented and calm under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and travel to remote sites.
