IT Desktop Support Technician – Onsite (Milwaukee)

About the role

Komatsu is seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician to join its South Harbor campus in Milwaukee. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on technical assistance for end‑user hardware, software, and conference‑room AV systems while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote support for PCs, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, RF guns, printers, and AV equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues; escalate complex problems as needed.
• Perform endpoint deployment and imaging using tools such as Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
• Maintain accurate incident documentation and service request records.
• Support conference‑room AV setups and live video‑conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex).
• Assist VIP and executive users with a professional approach.
• Participate in system rollouts, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
• Ensure endpoint compliance with security standards and patching requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in IT preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in IT support, help‑desk, or related role.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Desktop Support Technician are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to other Komatsu locations.
