About the role
The IT Cloud & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Architect establishes and governs Oceaneering's security architecture strategy for Microsoft Azure, cloud platforms, and AI technologies. Acting as the cybersecurity subject‑matter expert, the role ensures security, regulatory compliance, and business enablement are embedded in emerging technologies. The position offers a hybrid work environment, combining virtual work with on‑site presence in Houston when required.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise AI Security Reference Architecture and guardrails for secure AI usage.
- Partner with Data Sovereignty, Data Governance, legal, privacy and business stakeholders to create secure AI adoption patterns, policies and approved use cases.
- Lead Azure cloud security architecture, designing reference architectures, landing‑zone requirements and Zero Trust controls.
- Develop, maintain and govern security policies, standards and acceptable‑use requirements for AI, cloud and SaaS solutions.
- Conduct enterprise risk assessments, security reviews and provide architectural oversight for generative AI, machine‑learning platforms and AI‑enabled SaaS.
- Guide implementation of identity security, network segmentation, encryption, logging and monitoring across cloud environments.
- Advise technical and business teams on secure AI adoption, present recommendations to leadership and governance committees.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security or security architecture.
- At least 5 years designing and securing Microsoft Azure (or similar) environments.
- Proven experience developing enterprise security architectures, standards and governance frameworks.
- US citizenship or permanent residency required due to ITAR work requirements.
- Active CISSP or CISM certification, or ability to obtain one upon hire.
