IT Administrator – Systems & Support

About the role

The IT Administrator will maintain, secure, and support the organization’s IT infrastructure and end‑user environment. This position blends systems administration, hands‑on Help Desk support, mobile device management, and Python automation to improve efficiency across modern IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows and macOS systems, servers, and user devices.
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and user access permissions.
• Maintain network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and Wi‑Fi.
• Monitor system performance, backups, patching, and endpoint security.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Provide Tier 1‑3 Help Desk support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage Samsung tablets and mobile devices using Samsung Knox and MDM policies.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate routine IT tasks.
• Handle user onboarding/offboarding, licensing, and security best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors and assist with compliance, audits, and disaster recovery planning.

Required profile

• 3–7+ years of experience in IT administration, systems support, or operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering Tier 1‑3 Help Desk support.
• Ability to work onsite in Long Island City and travel to other locations as needed.
