Investment Banking Analyst – Equity Capital Markets

About the role

J.P. Morgan is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team. You will support high‑profile capital‑raising transactions, work closely with senior bankers, and gain exposure to a fast‑moving, global franchise.

Key responsibilities

• Execute public capital‑raising transactions such as IPOs and follow‑on offerings.
• Assist senior bankers in client engagements, including pitch preparation and RFP responses.
• Liaise with internal groups – coverage, sales & trading, syndicate, equity research, and legal.
• Prepare thought pieces on ECM trends and the technology sector.
• Conduct issuer analysis, including precedent transactions and shareholder targeting.
• Draft presentation materials and internal committee memoranda for transaction launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business‑writing abilities.
• Knowledge of capital markets and ECM execution processes.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior professionals and clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Self‑directed, highly motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects independently.
