Investment Bank Associate

About the role

Barclays Capital Inc. is hiring Investment Banking Associates in New York to support M&A and capital raising transactions. The role offers exposure to a variety of clients and deal types while working within a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, LBO, merger and comparable analyses.
• Conduct valuation analyses, prepare client presentation materials and draft transaction documents such as CIMs and management presentations.
• Support execution of M&A and capital raising transactions, manage data rooms, and coordinate due diligence.
• Perform industry and company research, monitor market activity and precedent transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (legal, compliance, risk, operations) to ensure transaction approval and compliance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities with experience in financial statement analysis and capital structure assessment.
• Ability to prepare client-facing materials and support senior bankers in client interactions.
• Understanding of investment banking processes and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Financial modeling (DCF, LBO, merger models).
• Valuation analysis and comparable company analysis.
• Proficiency in preparing pitchbooks, board updates and transaction presentations.
