Investment Analyst

About the role

Banner Ridge Partners is seeking a high‑performing, self‑motivated Investment Analyst to join its underwriting team in Midtown Manhattan. The role offers the opportunity to work on primary, secondary and co‑investment transactions across distressed and opportunistic credit strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth research and analysis on potential investments across various transaction types, industries and securities.
• Work in small deal teams to execute due diligence, interacting with private‑equity fund managers, company management and industry experts.
• Build, maintain and update advanced financial models in Excel for valuation and return analysis, including secondaries, credit and leveraged buyout models.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations and other materials summarising analysis and recommendations for the investment committee.
• Participate in deal structuring, valuation and execution processes.
• Assist with portfolio management and ongoing monitoring of fund interests and underlying portfolio companies.
• Maintain the firm’s deal pipeline database to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute actionable investment ideas across strategies and support the team’s collaborative culture.

Required profile

• 0.5–2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, consulting or secondaries.
• Bachelor’s degree from a leading university, preferably in economics, finance or mathematics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Superior organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Availability for full‑time, on‑site employment in Midtown Manhattan.
