Inventory Solutions Associate

About the role

HD Supply is hiring an Inventory Solutions Associate who acts as a liaison between the organization and the customer served by its solutions. The associate maintains the day-to-day functions of a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) site within a client's facility.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of daily replenishment orders for the customer.
• Receive daily replenishment and branch transfers to keep inventory accurate.
• Complete all control reports according to the intervals set out in the operations manual.
• Monitor and adjust minimum and maximum parameters to keep inventory at proper levels.
• Communicate market and customer business conditions to the right stakeholders.
• Discuss product stocking levels, assortment and seasonal fluctuations with the customer to avoid outages.
• Maintain regional items as needed.
• Refer complex or unusual problems to the supervisor; work under general supervision following defined policies and procedures.

Required profile

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred; specialized skills training or certification may be required.
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods and make repetitive movements such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending or squatting.
• Typically requires overnight travel of less than 10% of the time.
