Inventory Control Technician

About the role

The Inventory Control Technician supports the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s Facilities Management team by maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring that supplies and equipment are available when needed. This full‑time, onsite position plays a critical role in the efficient operation of campus facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Track and reconcile inventory levels for all campus supplies and equipment.
• Process purchase orders, receive shipments, and verify quantities against documentation.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory management systems and update records promptly.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to fulfill material requests.
• Generate reports on inventory status, usage trends, and reorder needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and vendors.
