Inventory Control Specialist II

About the role

The Inventory Control Specialist II works within the Operations Optimization department, reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor. The role ensures master data integrity, optimizes inventory levels, and supports site operations through accurate material availability and warranty management.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase requisitions to support site operations and Balance of Plant maintenance.
• Perform all inventory transactions accurately in SAP, including goods movements, transfers, and adjustments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date master data, material extensions, and updates in SAP MM.
• Ensure inventory levels, bin locations, and material tracking are correctly maintained and reconciled across assigned sites.
• Analyze product usage trends, adjust MRP settings with operations approval, and monitor inventory thresholds.
• Track serialized components, provide forecasting insights, and recommend stocking strategy improvements.
• Support multiple sites independently, conduct quarterly counts, and perform monthly site visits and inspections.
• Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and engineering to review quotes, manage supplier orders, and communicate delivery risks.
• Manage warranty claims, support product life‑cycle management, and coordinate part replacements.
• Identify process gaps, develop inventory control standards, and serve as a SAP subject‑matter resource.

Required profile

• Demonstrated advanced ownership of inventory processes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical insight to interpret usage trends and optimize stock levels.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites with minimal supervision.
• Effective liaison skills with OEMs, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience supporting warranty and lifecycle management activities.
