Interventional Radiology Physician

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Physician to join its team in New Orleans. The role involves delivering minimally invasive, image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to ensure high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures to diagnose and treat disease.
• Consult with physicians, nurses, patients and families regarding treatment plans, transmission risks, prophylaxis, and precautions.
• Refer cases to appropriate specialists while maintaining continuity of care.
• Provide medical direction and assist in developing education, training, and in‑service programs for healthcare staff.
• Carry out various administrative duties and participate in committees.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies.
• Remain an active member of the hospital staff and provide on‑call coverage.
• Travel frequently to worksites throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.).
• Active Louisiana medical license.
• Completion of an Interventional Radiology fellowship.
• Willingness to provide on‑call coverage and travel as needed.
