International Pharmacy Internship for Foreign Pharmacy Graduates

About the role

CVS Health is seeking US Non‑Accredited Foreign Pharmacy Graduates to join our retail pharmacy teams as International Pharmacy Interns. This 18‑month program provides hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced retail environment, allowing you to apply your didactic pharmacy education while preparing for full pharmacist licensure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and technicians in daily pharmacy operations, ensuring prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies at each workstation.
• Participate in patient counseling, medication therapy management, and other patient‑care activities under preceptor guidance.
• Support inventory management, medication safety checks, and documentation processes.
• Engage with pharmacy leadership to learn business performance metrics and improve workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• Successful completion of the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) and TOEFL.
• Eligibility to complete required US internship hours within 18 months.
• Commitment to prepare for and pass all pharmacist licensure exams within 120 days of internship completion.
• Strong interest in retail pharmacy practice and patient care.
