International Logistics Manager

About the role

The International Logistics Manager develops and executes global transportation strategies to move finished goods efficiently to international customers while balancing cost, service, and compliance. This hybrid role partners with sales, supply planning, manufacturing, and external logistics providers to ensure reliable delivery and inventory flow.

Key responsibilities

• Manage international freight operations, budgeting, distribution rates, and carrier contracts.
• Oversee export processes, documentation, and compliance with FMC, AES, NVOCC, and Incoterms.
• Support cost management, forecasting, analysis, and reporting of transportation spend.
• Collaborate across sales, customer operations, warehousing, procurement, manufacturing, and planning to resolve supply‑chain disruptions.
• Lead transportation sourcing activities, freight spend optimization, and cross‑functional projects for new market expansion.
• Monitor carrier performance, freight market trends, and international trade regulations to mitigate risk.
• Manage carrier claims and ensure adherence to DOT and FSMA regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or supply‑chain certification a plus.
• 10+ years of transportation operations management experience, preferably in CPG.
• Proven experience in carrier procurement, management, and building an asset‑based carrier portfolio.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional project leadership skills.
• Knowledge of DOT and FSMA rules and regulations.
