Internal Communications Manager, Tech

About the role

Anthropic is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to partner with its Core Tech organization. You will embed deeply with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams, helping translate complex technical work into clear narratives that connect the broader company to the mission‑critical efforts behind Claude.

Key responsibilities

• Own the internal communications strategy for Core Tech, becoming an expert in the team’s work and a trusted member of its leadership.
• Serve as a hands‑on advisor to executives, drafting communications in their voice and providing candid counsel.
• Translate deeply technical initiatives into narratives that resonate across all functions without losing substance.
• Innovate communication formats—using demos, videos, or other creative methods instead of default slide decks.
• Anticipate communication needs (launches, incidents, organizational changes, external attention) and prepare proactive plans.

Required profile

• Proven ability to embed within technical teams and earn a seat at the leadership table.
• Exceptional storytelling skills that make complex, invisible work visible and meaningful.
• Comfort advising senior leaders, especially in challenging or uncomfortable situations.
• Creative mindset for finding unconventional ways to share information.
• Proactive, with a habit of anticipating communication needs before they arise.
