Internal Communications Lead

About the role

Plaid is looking for an Internal Communications Lead to shape the narrative that connects every employee to the company’s mission and growth opportunities. You will own the systems, channels, and programs that keep the organization informed, aligned, and energized.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the editorial strategy for all‑hands meetings, half‑yearly business reviews, weekly Q&As, and other company‑wide communications.
• Partner with senior leaders, including the CEO and executive team, to craft talking points, emails, presentations, and Slack messages for high‑impact moments.
• Develop and maintain a consistent internal communications cadence across the organization.
• Lead the internal AI narrative, helping employees understand AI initiatives and their impact on daily work.
• Collaborate with People Ops partners (CPO, HRBPs, Learning & Development) to align messaging with broader people programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal or corporate communications, preferably in a fast‑growing technology or fintech environment.
• Strong storytelling ability with a track record of translating strategy into clear, compelling employee messages.
• Executive presence and the judgment to advise senior leaders during high‑stakes moments.
• Ability to build scalable communication processes and programs from the ground up.
