Internal Auditor

About the role

House of Spices is seeking an Internal Auditor to strengthen its internal control environment, improve operational efficiency, and support robust risk management. You will work independently to assess financial records, compliance practices, and operational activities, ensuring they align with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes across all departments.
• Examine financial statements—including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements—for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reliable financial reporting.
• Assess adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, tax laws, and industry standards.
• Identify financial and operational risks, including fraud risks and control weaknesses.
• Prepare audit plans, perform testing procedures, analyze findings, and document audit activities.
• Produce comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations for management.
• Follow up on audit findings to verify implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with department managers to improve processes and support external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
