Intermediate Interior Designer - Workplace Projects

About the role

A commercial interior design practice in Washington DC, known for thoughtful workplace interiors and a sociable culture, is looking for a mid-level interior designer. The role covers concept development through to construction documents, and requires solid Revit skills. It is advertised by Bespoke Careers.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside senior designers to develop design concepts and turn them into presentations and construction documents.
• Handle space planning, FF&E specifications and material selection.
• Navigate building codes and coordinate with consultants.
• Manage construction administration on commercial workplace projects from start to finish.
• Produce high-quality 3D renderings and graphic presentations for clients.

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience in commercial interior design.
• Demonstrated experience with space planning, FF&E, materials, codes and consultant coordination on commercial projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture; valid US work permit required.
• Progress toward NCIDQ certification or architectural licensure preferred; LEED and/or WELL accreditation a bonus.
• Self-starting, energetic and creative, with good communication skills.

• Excellent 3D rendering skills
