Intensive Support Social Worker (Full-Time)

About the role

Join the Intensive Support Social Work Team (ISSWT) to address backlog cases, conduct assessments, and support families across North Carolina. This role involves direct practice, on‑call rotations, and partnership with county agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Address backlog cases in assessments and case initiations.
• Support Family In‑Home Services and permanency planning.
• Participate in after‑hours and weekend on‑call rotations.
• Carry cases in partnership with counties and provide practice aligned with state law and policy.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience as a Child Protective Services worker or supervisor in NC.
• Forensic training preferred and deep knowledge of NC policy, practice, and continuous quality improvement.
• Ability to travel across NC and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices for complex casework.
• Understanding of medical, behavioral, and psychological issues and related interventions.
• Familiarity with state laws, regulations, and policies governing child welfare.
