Intensive Case Management (ICM) Caseworker

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking an Intensive Case Management (ICM) Caseworker to support vulnerable refugees, asylees, and other ORR‑eligible populations. The role focuses on providing strengths‑based, client‑centered case management to individuals and families facing a range of barriers to safety and wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Determine client eligibility for ICM programming and conduct comprehensive intake assessments.
• Develop individualized, SMART self‑sufficiency plans for each enrolled client.
• Evaluate client progress every six months and adjust plans to address emerging needs.
• Assist clients in navigating healthcare, social services, and benefit applications, including scheduling appointments.
• Conduct community outreach and maintain a robust network of service providers.
• Collaborate with local and state refugee coordinators and health coordinators to ensure comprehensive support.
• Provide extended orientation on topics such as women’s health, transportation systems, and physical healthcare.

Required profile

• Experience working with refugees, asylees, survivors of gender‑based violence, older adults, youth, or individuals with disabilities.
• Strong ability to develop client‑centered service plans and monitor outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
• Commitment to confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and the mission of humanitarian assistance.
