Intake Coordinator – Resettlement Services

About the role

The Intake Coordinator provides trauma‑informed casework to refugees and qualified immigrants, ensuring a smooth resettlement experience and supporting clients toward self‑sufficiency. This role also leads a team of caseworkers, coordinating services and collaborating with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate pre‑arrival case preparation, including case assurance and communication with U.S. contacts.
• Assign cases to caseworkers and oversee timely delivery of core services such as airport pickups, home visits, school enrollment, and other program‑mandated assistance.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate internal and external referrals.
• Monitor case files for proper documentation, develop forms and procedures, and ensure compliance with donor and organizational reporting requirements.
• Maintain a reduced active caseload, assess client progress regularly, and adjust service plans as needed.
• Develop and share local resource contacts across programs.
• Supervise caseworkers, manage daily caseloads, delegate tasks, and provide coaching and performance feedback.

Required profile

• Solutions‑driven, passionate change‑maker with experience in humanitarian or resettlement casework.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills, capable of managing a team and multiple client cases.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
• Knowledge of refugee resettlement processes, eligibility criteria, and relevant program guidelines.
