Instrumentation & Electrical Technician

About the role

Veolia is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to ensure optimal performance of a wide range of instrumentation and electrical equipment across its water and waste facilities. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining control systems, sensors, analyzers, and related equipment while adhering to strict health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation problems using testers and diagnostic devices.
• Disassemble, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment such as control instruments, motors, pneumatic devices, and programmable controllers.
• Maintain records of work performed and communicate findings to supervisors.
• Conduct equipment failure analysis and support preventive maintenance on generators, cathodic protection systems, desiccant units, waste feed cut‑off tests, and analyzer gas equipment.
• Order parts and manage inventory to support ongoing maintenance programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical fields preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
• 24‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time‑management abilities.
