Instructor - Part-Time

About the role

The Ogden Honors College at LSU is hiring a part‑time instructor to lead a three‑credit introductory course. The instructor will engage honors students in a rigorous learning environment and support their academic development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver all lectures, discussions, and assessments for the three‑credit introductory course.
• Provide academic advising and refer students to appropriate support services in accordance with FERPA guidelines.
• Maintain course records, grade assignments, and ensure compliance with university policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (minimum) in a relevant discipline.
• Preferred Ph.D. degree.
• Demonstrated experience teaching or developing introductory courses, preferably within an honors program.
• Understanding of FERPA regulations and ability to refer students to Student Health Center services when needed.
