About the role
The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks an Instructor to join its Academic Support Staff. This one‑year appointment, renewable based on performance and funding, focuses on community psychiatry and offers a blend of clinical, teaching, and policy work.
Key responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric care to patients in a community setting.
- Participate in seminar series, supervise trainees, and teach across all levels of medical education.
- Lead or contribute to policy, quality‑improvement, and administrative projects.
- Engage and consult with local administrative and policy partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department.
Required profile
- Medical degree (M.D. or equivalent).
- Active Pennsylvania medical license.
- Eligibility for or certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
