Instructor – Global Women’s Health Fellowship (Ob/Gyn)

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks an Instructor to join the Academic Support Staff for a two‑year Global Women’s Health Fellowship. The role combines intensive clinical experiences, both domestic and international, with academic mentorship for a scholarly project and a master’s degree.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct basic, translational, and/or clinical research focused on women’s global health.
• Participate in clinical duties as a member of the Academic Specialists in Penn Ob/Gyn Associates.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop and advance a scholarly project.
• Engage in additional training in clinical and basic‑science research methodologies.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.D. or equivalent).
• Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology with board certification or eligibility.
• Eligibility to commit to a one‑year appointment, renewable for a second year based on performance and funding.

Required skills

• Obstetrics and Gynecology clinical expertise.
• Experience in clinical research.
• Familiarity with translational and basic‑science research methods.
