Instructor – Computer Science & IT

About the role

The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology seeks a full‑time Instructor to teach beginning‑level courses in computer science, information systems, and information technology. The position is a 9‑month, 3‑year renewable appointment starting August 2026 or January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver introductory CSCI, information systems, and IT courses both on‑ground and online.
• Coordinate large multi‑section courses, ensuring consistent instruction and assessment.
• Participate in curriculum development for Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, and Computer Science majors.
• Advise undergraduate majors and provide academic counseling.
• Organize, purchase, test, and maintain software and hardware for teaching and research labs (robotics, networking, cybersecurity).
• Supervise student lab workers, graders, and tutors.
• Support departmental outreach activities.
