Instructional Designer III

About the role

The Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing at Texas A&M Health College of Nursing is seeking an Instructional Designer III to lead the design and development of classroom, hybrid, and online courses. This full‑time, onsite position reports to the Assistant Director of Forensic Nursing Continuing Professional Development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end course design projects for forensic nursing education.
• Administer and maintain online learning resources using the Canvas LMS.
• Guide faculty and staff through curriculum design, andragogy, and best‑practice implementation.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend multimedia and web‑based educational technologies.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to create blended, web‑enhanced, and responsive learning modules.
• Produce and edit website content via a content management system.
• Utilize video, 360°, photography, and audio equipment for high‑quality instructional media.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.
• Ability to lead design teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills for working with faculty, SMEs, and multimedia specialists.

Required skills

• Canvas Learning Management System.
• HTML and CSS for web content creation.
• Content Management System (CMS) usage.
• Video production equipment (HD cameras, 360° cameras, audio receivers, video cards).
• Multimedia authoring tools for e‑learning development.
