Instructional Designer I – Law Enforcement Training

About the role

The Instructional Designer I will join the Law Enforcement & Protective Services Training Division at Texas A&M RELLIS Campus. You will help create and update both classroom and online courses for law‑enforcement, forensics, explosives, emergency communications, security, and corrections personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy curriculum for traditional classroom delivery and online formats.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the design team to identify training needs, define learning objectives, and sequence content.
• Create course activities, presentation slides, visual aids, and edit training manuals to align with objectives.
• Conduct technical reviews of curriculum materials for accuracy, terminology, style, and clarity.
• Lead curriculum design meetings, track project progress, and ensure delivery within budget and timeline.

Required profile

• Knowledge of adult‑education theory and various learning styles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce original technical documentation.
• Effective communication skills for working with SMEs and curriculum leadership.
