Instruction Paraprofessional 2 – Macon RYDC

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an Instruction Paraprofessional 2 to support classroom instruction at the Macon Regional Youth Development Center (RYDC). Working under general supervision, you will assist the lead instructor in delivering educational and developmental activities for children, while maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the instructor in presenting subject matter and preparing lesson materials.
• Maintain classroom order, cleanliness, and sanitation of toys and equipment.
• Support individual students with physical needs and monitor their progress.
• Document daily observations, student progress, and activity outcomes.
• Operate duplicating machines and other equipment to produce instructional materials.
• Prepare bulletin boards, displays, and classroom supplies.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in an instructional or childcare setting, or equivalent experience at Instruction Paraprofessional 1 level.
• Ability to follow directions, maintain records, and work collaboratively with staff.
