Institutional Services Assistant / Kitchen Helper

About the role

The Institutional Services Assistant/Kitchen Helper supports daily food service operations at UAMS Health Benton/Bryant. This onsite position works within a hospital environment, ensuring meals are prepared safely and efficiently for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating according to menu specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas.
• Follow all safety, health, and infection‑control protocols.
• Support inventory management, receiving deliveries, and proper storage of food items.
• Collaborate with institutional services staff to meet the nutritional needs of patients and the operational needs of the facility.

Required profile

• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
