Institutional Press Manager

About the role

The Institutional Press Manager will support the Communications Director in shaping and executing Hermès' press strategy for Maison, Equestrian, and Institutional initiatives across the United States. This role blends storytelling, media relations, and corporate responsibility to boost brand visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and place editorial stories and product features in top‑tier national, regional, and digital publications.
• Monitor corporate and crisis communications, flagging issues to senior leadership and Paris headquarters.
• Co‑create and implement a Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity & Inclusion press strategy.
• Coordinate cross‑functional planning for Maison moments, ensuring cohesive storytelling and stakeholder alignment.
• Liaise with press contacts to manage product loans, event coverage, and guest lists.
• Arrange logistics (travel, hotel, experiences) for Institutional, Maison, and Equestrian events and store openings.
• Track media coverage, produce reports, and share results with internal teams.
• Oversee day‑to‑day tasks of press freelancers and assist with budget development, tracking, and invoicing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience, including hands‑on internship work.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet short‑ and long‑term deadlines.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with media‑tracking tools such as Launchmetrics and Meltwater (a plus).
