Installer Service Specialist

About the role

The Installer Service Specialist is an experienced, technical parts specialist who serves professional customers through the store's installer counter. The role oversees and directs the daily work of the delivery specialist so that customers receive accurate and timely order deliveries. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Build sales relationships with installers and professional customers.
• Take customer orders quickly and accurately by phone and online, invoice them, and direct picking and staging of parts so deliveries are consistent and on time.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are serviced and maintained to company standards, and that vehicle inspections are completed on time with daily mileage recorded in the fleet management devices.
• Work with Sales Specialists and Territory Sales Managers to serve professional customers well.
• Verify that products, merchandise, warranty parts and cores are billed before customers leave the store, and that new core and warranty returns are picked up and credited promptly.
• Audit customer returns for warranty abuse and make sure they are tagged and labeled correctly.
• Assist on the front and retail counters, help with backroom duties such as auto-loading, returns and stock, assist with customer labor claims, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Strong background in mechanics.
• Above-average communication skills.
• Fluency in multiple languages is desired; Spanish is highly desired.

Required skills

• ASE certification is desired.
• Hands-on knowledge of automotive repairs is desired.
