Inspector – Industrial Minerals (Sample Prep)

About the role

The Inspector – Industrial Minerals will conduct field inspections, weighing and sampling of various commodities for Bureau Veritas and its clients in Nevada. The role involves traveling to multiple sites, ensuring accurate data collection, and representing the company professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Attend various locations to perform or supervise inspection, weighing and sampling of commodities as directed.
• Represent Bureau Veritas and the client in a professional manner during all site activities.
• Carry out visual and mechanical verification of materials and products.
• Sample and supervise collection of representative analytical samples.
• Maintain accurate time logs and documentation within 24 hours of each activity.
• Follow all safety, IT, and company policies, including use of personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated field worker with strong time‑management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in remote locations.
• Excellent written, verbal and email communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Technical ability in sampling, measurement and inspection of dry bulk metals and minerals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
