Insolvency Associate

About the role

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking an Insolvency Associate to join its Financial Services & Capital Markets unit in one of several U.S. offices. The role involves substantial in‑person court appearances, trial work, and travel, supporting clients through complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.

Key responsibilities

• Handle creditors’ rights, commercial bankruptcy, workouts, receiverships, and both judicial and equitable foreclosures.
• Manage restructuring projects and related litigation, including pre‑judgment relief and post‑judgment collections.
• Appear regularly for hearings and trials, coordinating with senior attorneys and clients.
• Collaborate closely with the Financial Services & Capital Markets team to develop and execute legal strategies.

Required profile

• Strong academic record and an active bar license in the state of the chosen office (or willingness to obtain one promptly).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, superior judgment, and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
