About the role
The Inpatient Therapist provides person‑centered, trauma‑informed therapy to individuals, families, and groups within a residential treatment setting. Working on‑site at Indiana Treatment Centers – Columbus, you will help clients stabilize, recover, and build lasting resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and risk screenings in line with DSM‑5 and state guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans using ASAM criteria.
- Deliver evidence‑based individual, group, and family therapy (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, etc.).
- Respond to crises according to facility policy, ensuring client safety.
- Document all services promptly and accurately, meeting Medicaid, payer, and licensing standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and trauma‑informed documentation practices.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and utilization reviews.
- Coordinate care with clinical, medical, and recovery support staff and communicate with external partners as needed.
- Mentor interns or unlicensed staff, maintain active licensure, and complete required continuing education.
- Engage in supervision, performance evaluations, and program improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Current, active licensure as a therapist (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC).
- Experience delivering behavioral health services in an inpatient or residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of DSM‑5, ASAM criteria, and trauma‑informed care principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
